10 Workout Music Picks to Get You Moving
Why Workout Music?
I recently wrote a hub entitled ABC's of A Happier Life and in it I listed music and exercise as two components of creating a happy life everyday, so this hub is going to combine both. Music has the capacity to lift your spirits and put you in an energetic mood which is really helpful when you are trying to motivate yourself to workout and keep an effective pace. I have chosen ten songs that I have loaded on my mp3 player to push me during my walks, yardwork, or whatever activity I'm engaged in that requires me to move beyond my usual laid back pace.
Sexy Back - Justin Timberlake
If your motivation to exercise it to look better, what better way to get moving than to tell yourself "I'm bringing sexy back." Well, in some cases you might be searching for sexy instead of bringing it back or maybe the sexy is dead and needs resuscitating, either way this song always gets me going and is usually one of the first songs I play.
Baby by Justin Beiber
Okay I must admit this song is one of my guilty pleasures. My kids make fun of me for listening to it, but who cares? It motivates me and I like it ..Nuff said.
Super Bass
This song has a really good beat. The tempo makes it almost impossible to keep still.
How can you hear this and not feel like Rocky?
These get me moving too..
Teach Me How To Dougie - California Swag District
Honky Tonk Badonkadonk by Trace Adkins
Superfreak by Rick James
Down by Jay Sean ft. Lil Wayne
Fergalicious" - Fergie
White and Nerdy
I really like this parody by Weird Al. It has a good energetic rhythm but mostly it is kind of my theme song.

Do you have certain songs that motivate you?
I realize most of these songs are old and/or over played but they are the ones that work for me when I need to be motivated. Others may prefer different types of music or non at all, the important thing is to find something that motivates you.
